Ability First Ottawa is a charitable organization that provides comprehensive services and support to individuals (with or without developmental disabilities) and their families.
Services include our monthly “Awesome Mondays” life-skills program, the Housing Navigation Program, and the Parent Support Program.
Monetary donations and Community Sponsors are welcome to ensure that we can continue offering quality services to our participants and their families.
COVID-19 Thank You Update
We want to give a special shout-out to those helping people with disabilities and their families during these hard times. Ability First Ottawa works with several community partners to support front-line and essential workers in keeping them safe.
Support Initiative COVID-19
We have been giving telecommunications, online support, collecting and distributing medical supplies, zero waste gardens and food items to persons with disabilities and their families. Making kits for the homeless population so that they have food, medical supplies and giving them to outreach teams. We are working with other charities, local businesses, and community service providers.

More Support Needed for our Housing Navigation Program!
AFO is currently in need of more donations to provide support to individuals with disabilities living in the homelessness system. Please help us in assisting these vulnerable members of our community in obtaining safe, market-rental housing. Being homeless is EXTREMELY dangerous for individuals with developmental disabilities, and Ability First Ottawa is working tirelessly to provide this population with the support they desperately require.
